Arsenal’s Joel Campbell Joins Sporting Lisbon…Club Announce Signing Brilliantly

Sporting Lisbon have completed the signing of Joel Campbell on a season-long loan deal from Arsenal – and announced the capture in brilliant fashion on Twitter.

Despite being a regular first-team player last season for the Gunners, Campbell has been shipped out to the Portuguese club for the season, with his future in north London looking far from assured.

Having turned 24 earlier this summer, Campbell is no longer a kid, and Sporting are the fifth club Arsenal will have farmed him out to since he joined Arsene Wenger’s side.

But if the Costa Rica international is upset at his time with the Premier League side coming to an end, he’s certainly hiding it very well.

Campbell and the Sporting media team combined brilliantly earlier today to announce his arrival:

Well played, lads. Well played.

What do you make of the move? Does Campbell still have a future at the Emirates?
