Bastian Schweinsteiger Confirms Manchester United Will Be His Last European Club

Bastian Schweinsteiger has confirmed Manchester United will be the last club he plays for in Europe.

The German midfielder currently finds himself frozen out at Old Trafford following the summer arrival of Jose Mourinho.

Reports say United are ready to allow him to leave the club for next to nothing – just 12 months after arriving from Bayern Munich.

He’s been linked with a shock move to Celtic by some, while Juventus are also reportedly interested.

But Schweinsteiger has moved to end all speculation about him leaving Old Trafford for another club in Europe.

In a brief statement on his Twitter account, the German legend says he won’t play for another team in the continent if he leaves United, but is still ready to offer his services to Mourinho if he’s needed:

It’s anyone’s guess where Schweinsteiger’s future lies after this statement.

There are just seven days left of the summer transfer window and you’d expect United will be keen to move on a player with high wages rather than keep him and never use him.

Schweinsteiger may decide that a move to the MLS is his best option at this point of his career or could even call time on his career if he’s unable to get the right outcome to his current situation.
