Celtic Fans React on Twitter as Stefan Johansen Closes in on Fulham Move

Stefan Johansen‘s arrival may have looked a shrewd bit of business in 2014/15, but Brendan Rodgers has decided he can do without the Norwegian midfielder at Celtic this season.

It’s understood that Johansen is set to sign for Fulham in the coming days after the two clubs agreed a fee in the region of £2 million.

While Johansen was highly-rated after a string of impressive performances during his first year at Celtic Park, the fans quickly grew tired of the 25-year-old during the last campaign.

The former Stromsgodset player was part of a Celtic side which won two Scottish Premiership titles and a League Cup.

However Johansen was also part of a Hoops team that was knocked out in the group stages of the Europa League and lost the Scottish Cup semi-final to Rangers last season.

And while Rodgers is yet to really make his mark on this Celtic team, the Irishman has already made several big splashes in the transfer market, bringing in Scott Sinclair, Kolo Toure and Moussa Dembele.

Those additions have rendered Johansen surplus to requirements and has irked a mixed reaction from the Celtic support:

How highly do you rate Johansen after his spell in Scottish football and will he do the business down south?
