Celtic Fans Want to See Hearts Winger Jamie Walker Banned For Diving

The new Scottish Premiership season is barely up and running, and already controversy surrounds one of the weekend’s highest profile matches.

Jamie Walker is at the centre of the drama, after winning a penalty for Hearts in the first half of the Edinburgh side’s match at home to Celtic. 

With the Hoops winning 1-0 courtesy of a brilliant James Forrest strike, it looked like Brendan Rodgers men would be going in at half-time one goal ahead, but they never counted on Walker seemingly conning the referee.

As the ball was sent into the penalty area, Walker tangled with Celtic full-back Kieran Tierney, and a penalty was swiftly awarded. However, replays showed there was very little, if any, contact between the two.

There might have been dubiety over the decision, but Walker calmly stepped up and made it 1-1 himself:

The goal left Walker as a hero amongst Hearts fans, but Celtic supporters were baying for blood on social media, and demanding that the footballing authorities take action:
