Charlie Mulgrew has written an emotional goodbye to Celtic fans after he signed for Blackburn Rovers today.
The Scottish defender has been without a team since his contract at the Hoops expired at the end of last season.
Mulgrew finishes his spell at Parkhead after making 203 appearances in his second spell at the club, helping them to five league titles, two Scottish Cups, a League Cup and some memorable European nights.
And he leaves as a fans’ favourite – something he doesn’t appear to take for granted in his goodbye message.
Mulgrew posted to Instagram earlier:
Mulgrew isn’t the only former Celt to join Owen Coyle at Blackburn this season.
Anthony Stokes moved from the Hoops to the Ewood Park club on a three-year deal earlier in the summer.
