The Manchester United manager watched on as two of his summer signings excelled in their English Premier League debut.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic got a goal and looked particularly good in the second half of the 3-1 win for United at the Vitality Stadium.
But Bailly was the main man at the back for the visitors, putting the shackles on an admittedly poor Cherries attack and only conceding because of a fine goal from Adam Smith.
Sky Sports awarded the Ivory Coast defender their man of the match and he’s the resounding winner of a vote on Manchester United’s official Twitter account.
And it’s made all the more impressive considering Bailly went into the game with an injury problem, as revealed by his manager post-match:

Bailly arrived at Old Trafford from Villarreal in a reported £30million deal earlier this summer and has wasted no time proving his worth to Mourinho, his team-mates and fans.
Today’s strong performance follows a similar one against Leicester last weekend and a very good pre-season for the commanding defender.
Two people who may have been surprised at Bailly’s award, though, were Zlatan and Wayne Rooney.
They were interviewed post-match and their reactions to being asked to deliver the award to Bailly in the dressing room was pretty funny.
