Jose Mourinho: Pogba and Rooney Chose Zlatan as United’s Penalty Taker

Jose Mourinho has revealed that Manchester United‘s new penalty taker Zlatan Ibrahimovic was chosen by his two team-mates Paul Pogba and Wayne Rooney.

The charismatic Swede has got off to a brilliant start to life at United by scoring four goals in his first three competitive matches, one of which was a penalty in Friday night’s win over Southampton at Old Trafford.

Having given United the lead through a trademark header, Zlatan made no mistake from the spot and hammered the ball into the far corner.

But whilst jubilant United supporters were celebrating the goal, a few were wondering why Rooney wasn’t the man taking the penalties – had Zlatan put his foot down?

Well, no, apparently not. Manager Jose Mourinho has revealed the thinking that went into choosing his takers for the forthcoming season:

What do you think of the decision? Is Zlatan a better penalty taker than Rooney?
