Mario Balotelli‘s Liverpool career is all but over – we’ve all known that for a while now – but could his next club be one of Wolves or Port Vale? Well, that’s what the tabloids seem to be suggesting.
Having managed just one goal in Serie A whilst on-loan at AC Milan last season, Balotelli seems to have exhausted his suitors in Italy, with the likes of Lazio and Sampdoria linked to the 25-year-old but seemingly uninterested, with no concrete offer on the table so far.
And with a reputation that well and truly proceeds him in England, it seems Balotelli really is running out of options, with a move to the Football League being mentioned as a serious direction for the Italian international.
Wolves have been bought over by a big-spending Chinese investment group, and have already been linked with a £20 million move for Benfica’s Anderson Talisca.
And the Sun now reports that Wolves also want Balotelli to fire their chances of getting promoted to the English Premier League this season.
Moreover, League One side Port Vale are also reportedly willing to take a gamble on Balotelli.
He was once one of the most promising striker in world football, and helped Manchester City win an historic Premier League title.
But, with all due respect to Wolves and Port Vale, a move to either side would mark a serious nose dive for Balotelli’s career.
