A Lot of Rangers Fans Desperately Want Rid of Danny Wilson

The new season is barely a week old, but it looks like Rangers supporters have already seen enough of centre-back Danny Wilson.

The defender missed last weekend’s disappointing 1-1 draw at home to Hamilton, but regained his place for this afternoon’s tricky-looking tie Premiership tie away at Dundee next to partner Rob Kiernan.

The Gers raced into a 2-0 lead courtesy of goals from Kenny Miller and Harry Forrester, but just before half-time Dundee pulled a goal back, with Mark O’Hara finding a way to out-jump Wilson at a corner, and power the ball into the Rangers net.

Wilson was once one of Scottish football’s most promising young players, but now well into his twenties, his career hasn’t panned out the way many pundits and supporters had hoped.

It’s probably fair to say he’s not really flavour of the month amongst the Gers’ support at the minute:

Pretty straightforward consensus, eh?

But what do you think? Is he really that bad?
