Lukas Podolski Brings the Twitter Banter With Gary Lineker

Lukas Podolski brought the banter on Twitter with Gary Lineker this afternoon.

The Galatasaray midfielder has over three million followers on the social networking site for a reason – because he’s pretty entertaining.

It stems back to his spell with Arsenal, where passionate Gunners fans loved the insight he afford them via Twitter and his other social media channels.

Podolski might be away from the Emirates now, but he’s still just as funny on Twitter – and has obviously been keeping up with his English football after leaving the Premier League to join the Turkish giants last year.

He shared this picture on Twitter earlier – admittedly not one of his most memorable tweets:

But Match of the Day presenter Lineker thought he’d inject some comedy into it:

Of course, Podolski was aware of the lion and got back to Lineker, referencing the former England striker last week keeping his promise to wear just his underpants to present the first Match of the Day of the season if Leicester won the title last term.

This is more light-hearted news concerning Podolski following his announcement earlier this week that he’s retired from international football.

The German calls time on his career with the national team with 129 caps, 48 goals and a World Cup winner’s medal in the bag.
