Video: Former Arsenal Striker Gervinho Red Carded For Brutal Horror Tackle

He was once the player accused of diving and throwing himself to the ground, but former Arsenal striker Gervinho is apparently sick and tired of taking kicks from opponents and is now dishing them out himself.

The Ivorian winger is just one of a number of recognisable footballers earning a boatload of cash from Henan Jianye FC in the Far East, and came up against fellow super power Hebei CFFC at the weekend.

Hebei went 1-0 up with just 11 minutes to play and that was too much for Gervinho to handle, and he quickly found himself taking an early bath.

Frustrated, he managed to lose the ball and decided it would be a good idea to stamp on the opposition player he lost it too.

It gives us vivid memories of that clash with Joey Barton all those years ago
