Alan Pardew and Crystal Palace secured their first victory of the season against Middlesbrough on Saturday thanks to a Wilfried Zaha winner – and now Pardew has insisted he wants £50 million for the winger.
Zaha was the subject of a failed offer from Tottenham just before the summer transfer window close, with the amount offered by Spurs thought to be in the region of £15 million.
But following Zaha’s first strike of the new season, Pardew has insisted that he wants more than that for his prized asset – A LOT more.

To put Pardew’s valuation into context, Zaha scored just five goals in 43 appearances last season – does that sound like a £50 million player to you?
The likes of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Mario Gotze and Sadio Mane were all bought and sold for fees well below £50 million during the summer – is it just us, or is Pardew going WAY over the top with his figure?
