Arsenal Fans Fear For Jack Wilshere’s Future After News Mesut Ozil to Get Number 10

Arsenal fans are fearing for Jack Wilshere’s future after news broke that Mesut Ozil could get his squad number.

According to a report in German newspaper Bild, the Gunners playmaker is set to be handed a new contract as well as the number 10 shirt which currently belongs to Wilshere.

The English midfielder is out at Bournemouth on a season-long loan as he tries to regain the fitness and form he’s lost due to injuries over recent seasons.

He will return to Arsenal in the summer considering he has a deal until 2018, but this latest story casts more doubt about his long-term future at the club.

Taking a squad number off a player is a big move which could only suggest to Wilshere that he’s not as highly rated as he was when he earned 10  in the first place.

And some fans have jumped to their own conclusion on what handing the number 10 shirt to Ozil means for Wilshere:
