Arsenal’s Alex Iwobi Apologises on Snapchat After His Performance vs PSG

Arsenal winger Alex Iwobi has taken to Snapchat to apologise to the club’s supporters after he missed several clear-cut chances in the Champions League opener against PSG.

The Gunners managed to get their European off to a decent start, despite conceding after just 42 seconds to an Edinson Cavani header.

Alexis Sanchez levelled with 12 minutes remaining to secure a respectable point away to the French champions, but Nigerian international Iwobi wasn’t happy with his own input, and offered up on social media not long after the final whistle:

Optimized-Iwobi1

To be fair, it wasn’t all bad news for Iwobi and his team-mates – after the 1-1 draw, the Gunners are probably best-placed to top their group and qualify for the last-16…although this is Arsenal we’re talking about, to be fair.

Iwobi will have an opportunity to redeem himself on the European stage in two weeks’ time, when Swiss champions Basel roll into north London.

What did you make of his missed chances?
