FAST FORWARD

Finally, the world returns to its axis and domestically we have boxing on in the UK. Last night, Friday the 2nd September in Walsall we started with no fewer than 6 fights being promoted by Ricky Hatton. In Leeds we then had 9 fights whilst in Manchester there were 7 and in York Hall there were 6! We came back with 29 fights in 1 night!

Tonight, Saturday the 3rd September in Doncaster we have 9 contests whilst in Wigan there are 11 including super featherweight Anthony Cacace up against Jamie Quinn – Cacace will record win 14 of 14.

It feels good to have it all back…

FUTURE HISTORY

On Friday the 9th September in Pennsylvania the WBA middleweight title fight is between Daniel Jacobs and Sergio Mora. In Reading, USA, Richard Comney faces Robert Easter for the IBF lightweight title.

Saturday the 10th in London, England, O2 Arena, Kell Brook v Gennady Golovkin face off for the WBA, WBC, IBF middleweight belts, Lee Haskins meets Stuart Hall for the second time and now for the IBF bantamweight title, Jonriel Casimero is up against Charlie Edwards with the IBF flyweight crown on the line, Callum Smith defends his WBC silver super middleweight belt against Norbert Nemesapati whilst Martin J Ward squares up to Andy Townend with the vacant British super-featherweight title the prize. Also on the bill are super bantamweight Kid Galahad fighting Emiliano Sakvini, Connor Benn taking on Silvje Kebet plus super bantamweight Gavin McDonnell and super middleweight Paul Smith.

Thursday the 15th sees a 5 fight card in the Crowne Plaza in Glasgow for MGM Scotland as light heavyweight Timmy Philbin, cruiserweight Dean Marner, flyweight Ross Murray, super welterweight Paul Kean and featherweight Marco McCullough all feature.

Friday the 16th has 3 fights in Dunston including the journeyman Qasim Hussein up against Mark White and in Barnsley of the 7 fights we also have Fonz Alexander fighting Jayce Dixon. In Bournemouth there are 7 contests whilst Prospect Boxing have super lightweight JP McGuinness against Alex Bazza, super featherweight action between Leon Roberts and Youssef Al Hamidi, super lightweight Jason Easton v James Gorman and super welterweight Derek Skinner fighting Casey Blair in Whitburn.

In Osaka, Japan we have Shinsuke Yamanaka v Anselmo Moreno for the WBC bantamweight championship and Hugo Ruiz v Hozumi Hasegawa for the WBC super-bantamweight title.
