Cam Newton on Broncos Loss: I Feel Sh*tty… I Just Don’t Like to Lose

The Carolina Panthers lost their season opener to the Denver Broncos yesterday, with quarter back Cam Newton having a particularly tough day at the office.

Newton took arguably three illegal shots from the Denver defence during the game, forcing the player to undergo concussion protocol before meeting the media.

But when Newton was cleared after the game, he admitted he is struggling to remember what happened after the game, feels “shitty” about the loss but credited the Broncos on their victory:

Panthers tight end Greg Olsen also spoke out about the aggressive Denver defence, claiming the referees have to do more to protect players like Newton from dangerous hits during ball games:

The Panthers will be looking to get back on track next week, as they host the San Francisco 49ers next Sunday.
