Granit Xhaka has shared his delight after scoring a stunner for his first ever Arsenal goal.
The Swiss midfielder has impressed early on in his Gunners career after making a £30million move from Borussia Monchengladbach in the summer.
Given the midfield depth Arsene Wenger’s squad has, Xhaka could have been forgiven for expecting to feature from the bench to begin with.
But he’s started three of the five games he’s played in and looked very comfortable in their team.
Today Xhaka had to settle for a spot off the bench as Arsenal won 4-1 away at Hull – yet he still had a big impact.
Wenger’s side scored two goals while he was on the pitch, including an absolute beauty from the man himself in injury time.
You’ll see on Match of the Day later just how good it was as he smashed home from 30 yards – and Xhaka was delighted as he posted on Instagram afterwards:
That win has taken Arsenal up into third with 10 points from their first five games and Gunners fans will be happy that they’ve made a steady start to the season domestically and in Europe.
They drew 1-1 away at Paris Saint-Germain in their Champions League opener in midweek so it’s been a great four days for Wenger and his club.
