Jermaine Defoe’s Hair Takes An Absolute Pounding During Sunderland v Everton

Jermaine Defoe’s Hair Takes An Absolute Pounding During Sunderland v Everton

Sunderland are left rooted at the bottom of the Premier League tonight after a second-half thrashing from Everton, but Jermaine Defoe‘s night was doubly bad as his new haircut was slaughtered on social media.

The England striker was, as usual, Sunderland’s main goal threat against the Toffees at the Stadium of Light, and after a goalless first-half it looked as though the Black Cats could perhaps sneak a valuable point, if not more.

But a devastating 11-minute hat-trick from Romelu Lukaku sealed all three points for Everton, and left Defoe and co with some serious soul searching to do.

Hopefully, Defoe doesn’t spend much time on Twitter, because if he has a glance tonight he’ll find that fans weren’t too bothered by his performance – but by his new dreadlocked do, which you can see in the main image above.

It’s not that bad, right? Well, there’s a lot of people out there on the internet who disagree:

What do you think? Does he deserve such stick?
