A Lot of Celtic Fans Remain Unconvinced With Goalie Dorus de Vries

He’s only started four competitive games for Celtic, but by the looks of things supporters have seen enough of goalkeeper Dorus de Vries.

Having worked with manager Brendan Rodgers previously at Swansea, the veteran Dutch stopper joined the Hoops last month, and has taken previous No.1 Craig Gordon’s spot in the first-team.

But having been reasonably untested against Aberdeen and Rangers domestically, de Vries went into today’s Scottish Premiership tie against Inverness needing a big performance to cement his spot in the side after conceding seven against Barcelona in midweek.

Unfortunately for him, with Celtic leading 1-0, Inverness midfielder Billy King seemed to catch the 35-year-old out with an ambitious strike from out wide.

De Vries seemed to get a glove on it, but couldn’t keep it out, and probably could’ve done better.

A LOT of fans weren’t best pleased on social media:

What do you think? Should Gordon be reinstated? Or does de Vries just need a bit more time to be bedded in?
