Stoke City haven’t had the best of starts to their current Premier League campaign having suffered four defeats in a row and sitting bottom of the table.
The Potters started their campaign with a 1-1 draw against newly promoted Middlesbrough but have since gone on to Manchester City, Everton, Tottenham and Crystal Palace.
Not only have they been but they have also conceded four goals in a match on three of those occasions with the 4-1 loss at Crystal Palace on Saturday leaving some fans concerned.
But tonight they had the opportunity to put all that behind them as their League Cup clash with Hull provided an opportunity to turn their attentions onto a new challenge.
Marko Arnautovic powered his side into the lead with a sensational strike in the first half that may top César Azpilicueta’s Chelsea goal last night.
