Rangers fans won’t be enjoying their Saturday night too much after watching their side play out a drab 0-0 draw with Ross County.
The Ibrox side were looking to put a dark week behind them after being thrashed 5-1 by their city rivals in the Old Firm derby at Celtic Park last week before Joey Barton channeled his inner Joey Barton and found himself banished from Rangers training after an alleged bust-up with Andy Halliday.
However, they failed to do so as missed chances from both sides paved the way for a bore 0-0 draw before manager Mark Warburton stormed out of his press conference after being angered at questions related to Barton.
But it seems that the result wasn’t the only thing to anger Rangers fans today after Sky Sports present Jeff Stelling appeared to have a dig at the club.
Stelling was reading out the results from up and down the country as the final whistles were blown and when he got to Rangers he stated that it was their “first ever meeting with Ross County”:

As you can hear from the fan who recorded, that’s usually a controversial statement – but Stelling is actually right. As Rangers and County have never actually played due to their league status over recent years.
The Staggies were a Highland League team before gaining entry to the SPFL in 1995, but they never came up against Rangers on their way to being promoted to the top-flight – and the Ibrox side played lower league football by time they made the Premiership.
