Only Sunderland Have Covered Less Ground than Man Utd So Far This Season

They may have collected nine points from nine in the Premier League so far, but Jose Mourinho could be forgiven for wanting a little bit more from his Manchester United side.

That’s because despite adding the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Eric Bailly, Paul Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, the Red Devils are currently sitting in the relegation zone when it comes to distance covered by top-flight English teams this season.

I know! We were as shocked as you to learn that a team which consists of Wayne Rooney toddling about the pitch for 90 minutes, constantly dipping in and out of centre-back, could be so lacklustre! Who knew?!

But, yes, it’s true – in fact, only David Moyes’s Sunderland have covered less ground than United since the opening day of the campaign, and you won’t be surprised to know that, as per the Mirror, Jurgen Klopp’s high-octane Liverpool side top the chart:

In case you hadn’t heard, United have a small match against arch rivals Manchester City at the weekend – and we’re not too sure Jose would be too pleased if his men are out-run by a Pep Guardiola side.

Just saying…

We’re joined by former Scotland international Gary Teale to talk the Tartan Army’s win in Malta, what it means, his career and get in about Celtic against Rangers this weekend:
