Joey Barton’s career would make for a great film – regardless of whether you’re a fan of him or not.
Failing that, we’ve been given a book from the Rangers midfielder detailing what’s happened in his life and now we’ve got a short cartoon condensing his football career into one three-minute video.
That cartoon comes from 442oons – a hugely popular creator of animated football parodies which boasts over one million subscribers across YouTube, Facebook and Twitter.
It’s based on the new Journey mode of FIFA 17, which allows gamers to take Alex Hunter through his youth football career all the way up to the top of the game. For Hunter, see Barton.
The funny cartoon includes a lot of the infamous moments in Barton’s career, including the moment he stubbed a cigar out on a youth team player’s eye, his fight with Ousmane Dabo, battering his way around the Manchester City team while at QPR and his most recent training ground bust-up with Andy Halliday:

It will be interesting to see how Barton’s career is going to end given he’s in the middle of a three-week ban at Rangers and under investigation for breaking SFA betting rules.
He’s got a two-year deal at Ibrox and, at the age of 34, may see his spell at the club as the last stop in his journeyed career.
