Video: Mesut Ozil Joined Arsenal Three Years Ago Today… Here Are His Best Bits

Mesut Ozil signed for Arsenal three years ago today and in celebration of the German’s time in North London, the club have posted a glowing tribute on Facebook.

It might have taken Ozil longer than most Arsenal fans would have liked, but the midfielder has finally started to make his mark at the Emirates, as he topped the charts for Premier League assists last season.

And with Arsene Wenger strengthening his squad with the likes of Granit Xhaka, Shkodran Mustafi and Lucas Perez this summer, Ozil may be set to have his best season in an Arsenal shirt this year.

In the meantime, the club have given us a reminder of exactly what the World Cup winner can do by posting a short video of all his best bits since joining from Real Madrid in 2013.

The video includes Ozil’s assist for Danny Welbeck’s winner against Leicester City last season, his memorable free-kick goal against Liverpool and the birth of his ‘Ya Gunners Ya’ catchphrase.

Arsenal’s Facebook page captioned the post:”Three years of Mesut Ozil

It’s three years to the day since this superstar arrived…

We ❤️ Mesut Özil 〽️”

Will Ozil’s performances improve with Wenger having splashed the cash this summer?
