Video: Bald Robert Pires Scores From Freddie Ljungberg Assist

Don’t worry about Robert Pires losing his ability to play football after losing his trademark long hair.

The Arsenal great was back at the Emirates this afternoon taking part in a legends match against AC Milan for charity.

And he would have shocked a lot of spectators who weren’t aware that he’d got rid of the locks he sported throughout his playing career with the Gunners.

Pires did give a warning, with some social media posts showing he’s now gone bald instead of hopelessly trying to hold on to his fading hair.

But plenty probably weren’t aware – like us – that Pires was bald until he rocked up in today’s charity game.

It was good to see the Frenchman in the starting XI for the game and, after getting over the shock of his head, it was good to see he can still play a bit.

A strong performance was capped by an assist from fellow baldy Freddie Ljungberg as Pires made the scoreline 4-1 late in the game:

He’s still got it.

We’d like to think we can cope with almost anything – but a bald Pires? That’s going to take a while for us to get our head around.
