DaMarcus Beasley’s long-lasting Celtic v Rangers memory is pretty hilarious – as it involves Kris Boyd and green Skittles.
The American wideman will be remembered by a number of teams from his career, including Chicago Fire, PSV, Manchester City, Hannover 96, Puebla 96, Houston Dynamo and the USA national team.
But he’ll also be a memory for Rangers fans after his three-year spell with the Scottish club between 2007 and 2010.
Beasley made 46 appearances for the Ibrox side in his time there and helped them to two Premier League trophies, a Scottish Cup and a League Cup in that time.
And he experienced a few games against bitter rivals Celtic too.
No green skittles
Beasley has shared a memory from those matches ahead of the teams going head-to-head at Parkhead tomorrow and it turns out to be a pretty hilarious story involving Boyd and green Skittles.
We’ll let Beasley tell you:
According to @DaMarcusBeasley, when it's @RangersFC vs Celtic, even the Skittle color matters! #OldFirm pic.twitter.com/XOz7CHZN1h

A rivalry so intense that green Skittles weren’t permitted among the Rangers squad.
