Granit Xhaka has only been at Arsenal since July, but he’s already getting down with the London lingo.
The Switzerland international signed for the club in a £35million transfer from Borussia Monchengladbach back in May and joined up with the team following his country’s Euro 2016 exit.
He’s wasted no time proving his worth for Arsene Wenger’s men, slotting into centre midfield and starting in their last two Premier League games.
Xhaka looks to have also been working on his London accent and enlisted the help of Arsenal’s social media people and team-mate Alex Iwobi to try it out.
The club staff sat Iwobi – raised in London – next to new team-mates Xhaka and Rob Holding for their ‘learn to speak like a Londoner’ feature.
‘That spice is a mad ting’
And the results were so hilarious the video has had over one million already after being posted yesterday evening:
Xhaka’s ‘that spice is a mad ting’ made us laugh a lot.
