Zlatan Threatened to Break Mino Raiola’s Legs if Paul Pogba Didn’t Sign For Manchester United

Mino Raiola insists Zlatan Ibrahimovic threatened to break his legs if Paul Pogba didn’t sign for Manchester United in the summer.

The Italian agent represents both players and was a big part of the £89million move Pogba made from Juventus to United in the summer.

But, at times, it looked like that move was in doubt as speculation continued to link the Frenchman with a return to Old Trafford despite slow movement in getting the deal done.

Zlatan was obviously well aware of what was going on and was keen to apply some of his own pressure on Raiola – with the agent revealing recently that the Swedish striker threatened to break his legs if Pogba went anywhere else except United.

In an interview with Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant, Raiola said, per football writer Elko Born:

Raiola also spoke about the motivation behind Pogba’s return to United four years after he left out of frustration over a lack of first team football.

He got all the first team football he wanted in a very successful Juventus team.

But Raiola admits there was no feeling of revenge for Pogba – despite Sir Alex Ferguson’s treatment of him:

Pogba produced arguably his best performance in a United shirt as he helped Jose Mourinho’s side to a big 4-1 win over Leicester this afternoon.

He was a constant creative force in the United midfield and even got a goal himself as he headed home just before half-time.
