We love it when top football teams acknowledge each other on Twitter.
That’s what happened this afternoon as Borussia Monchengladbach and Celtic enjoyed one another’s company on the social networking site.
We first told you how the German outfit wished the Hoops good luck ahead of their game with Motherwell at Parkhead.
And they quickly followed that up by reacting to Manchester City’s game against Everton and giving a shout to Celtic in their match:
.@ManCity Guess it's over to you @FCBarcelona and @celticfc… pic.twitter.com/VRS1nD9EZu

That didn’t go unnoticed by Celtic, who attempted some Twitter banter of their own and laid the gauntlet down to Barcelona to get a win against Deportivo today:
.@borussia_en & @ManCity Job done thanks to @MDembele_10! Over to you @FCBarcelona! (NM) pic.twitter.com/65PpRs7XQF

Football club banter!
It’s good to see the clubs getting along well on Twitter despite being days away from going head-to-head at Parkhead.
Celtic will be hoping for a big performance to strengthen their challenge for third spot in the group and the possibility of European football after Christmas.
The Hoops beat Motherwell 2-0 today, while Monchengladbach drew 0-0 with Hamburg, City drew 1-1 with Everton and Barca beat Deportivo 4-0.
