Borussia Mönchengladbach’s Andre Hahn Admits He Can’t Wait to Play at Celtic Park

Borussia Mönchengladbach striker Andre Hahn has admitted that he and his team-mates can’t wait to sample the famous atmosphere at Celtic Park on Wednesday, as both teams gear up for a blockbuster clash in the Champions League.

In a group with Barcelona and Manchester City, two potential winners of the entire competition, both Celtic and their German opponents will know that their best hope of European football beyond Christmas is to finish third and enter the Europa League, making their meeting in the east of Glasgow this week all the more important.

But despite a lot riding on the result, Hahn is happy to admit the prospect of playing under the floodlights in such an iconic stadium has piqued the imagination of his colleague inside the Gladbach dressing room:

Hahn, who has one cap for Germany, isn’t an automatic starter for his club but with Raffael and Thorgan Hazard struggling to be fit for the tie, there’s a good chance the 26-year-old will see his wish come true.

How do you think the match will pan out? And where does Celtic Park rank in terms of European football stadiums?
