Erik Sviatchenko Reckons Celtic Fans Will Have Gladbach Frightened Tomorrow Night

Celtic defender Erik Sviatchenko is backing the famous Parkhead support to leave German side Borussia Mönchengladbach petrified in the east end of Glasgow tomorrow evening.

The Danish international sampled his first experience of how raucous Celtic Park can become on a Champions League night when Manchester City came calling last month, and the centre-back is looking for fans to come up with something similar against the Bundesliga cracks.

A victory would take Celtic to four points from three games played, whilst Gladbach would be stranded at the bottom of the table on zero points -leaving Brendan Rodgers’ side clear favourites to finish third at least and qualify for the Europa League.

He may have only played 90 minutes of full blown Champions League action, but it seems to have been an experience that has stayed with Sviatchenko:

Sviatchenko has fresh competition ahead of the mouthwatering clash, with Croatian defender Jozo Simunovic battling to partner Kolo Toure.

What do you make of Sviatchenko’s comments? Are a team like Gladbach likely to be frightened by the atmosphere generated inside Celtic Park.
