Del Rio left the company last month after reaching a mutual agreement to terminate his contract.
The Mexican-born grappler now wrestling for various promotions, including the Mexico-based AAA.
However, the 39-year-old failed to show up at a recent show after being attacked before his flight.
Del Rio, real name José Alberto Rodríguez, clarified the situation on his official Instagram account and amazingly announced he would still be fit to compete in the UK this weekend:
Del Rio originally left the WWE in August 2014, following an altercation with another employee after being targeted with a racist remark.
However, Del Rio returned to Vince McMahon in October 2015 at Hell in a Cell.
Not that Del Rio’s second run was to be a successful one, especially after he was suspended following a breach of the WWE’s wellness policy back in August.
