The retired English whistler now works for BT Sport, but would have been an interested spectator tonight as Sky Sports broadcasted the Monday Night Football game.
Taylor was at the centre of a talking point before the game after he was put in charge of it despite coming from Manchester.
But the referee performed his job admirably, keeping a lid on a fiery encounter between two rivals.
And Webb believes he deserves praise for that – but probably won’t get it as people only concentrate on the referee when he makes mistakes:
Under unfair and significant pressure, it seems Anthony Taylor was excellent.Of course nobody will speak about him because he didn't mess up

It’s hard to disagree with Webb. There were refereeing flash points in the weekend games, but Taylor was very good in tonight’s game and the fact he won’t be spoken about reflects just how impressive he was.
The match actually promised so much, but delivered an underwhelming 0-0 draw with both teams unable to impress going forward.
