Iker Casillas Takes a Sly Dig at Mourinho, Arbeloa and Xabi Alonso

Real Madrid legend Iker Casillas has taken a sly dig at his former manager Jose Mourinho, as well as former team-mates Xabi Alonso and Alvaro Arbeloa.

Now at Porto, the veteran goalkeeper was involved in a spectacular fallout with Mourinho during their time together at the Bernabeu resulting in the Manchester United boss dropping Casillas for Diego Lopez.

Mourinho was not on speaking terms with a lot of his squad when he left Madrid, but a few notable players stuck by him, with the dressing room seemingly split on the Portuguese’s methods.

Today, when taking part in a Q&A on Twitter, one fan asked Casillas which of Mourinho, Arbeloa and Xabi Alonso he’d most like to go out for dinner with, an his short answer spoke volumes:

“…tigo”, translates as ‘with you’, meaning the goalie would much rather have a bite to eat with the fan asking the question, rather than any of his former colleagues.
The three players won the World Cup in 2010 together, whilst Mourinho managed to win La Liga during his time in charge in Spain, stopping Pep Guardiola’s Barcelona in the process.
It seems their fallout was a pretty big one, eh?
