Liverpool Fans Delighted to See Danny Ings Get Game Time Against Spurs

Liverpool managed to make it past Tottenham and into the last eight of the EFL Cup tonight and one of the main highlights for fans was striker Danny Ings getting a run out.

The former Burnley striker moved to Anfield in the summer of 2015 but managed just 10 appearances in his first season after he ruptured his cruciate knee ligaments and was ruled out for up to nine months.

Ings is yet to play a single minute of Premier League football under Jurgen Klopp and was strongly linked with a move away from Liverpool in the last transfer window.

He ended up staying but is yet to start a match this season, and despite several impressive performances for the club’s under-23 side, he struggles to even make the subs’ bench most weeks.

However, in tonight’s 2-1 win over Spurs, Ings came off the bench for the final 20 minutes and looked really lively – to the delight of Reds supporters:

Do you think Ings deserves more of a chance under Jurgen Klopp? Does he still have a long-term future at Liverpool?
