Patrice Evra Pays Unexpected Tribute to Luis Suarez on Instagram

Has one of football’s most notorious rivalries just became water under the bridge?

Well, we can’t be 100% certain, but that’s definitely the feeling Patrice Evra is giving off on Instagram.

The Juventus full-back has taken to his social media account to congratulate Barcelona striker Luis Suarez on winning the Golden Shoe award, which is given to the player with the most domestic goals in Europe, after the Uruguayan’s incredible 40-goal haul last season.

Whilst paying homage to Suarez, Evra even calls him the ‘best No.9’ before going on to say ‘I love this game’.

As far as we, and the rest of the general public knew, the pair had never worked out their differences after Suarez was banned for eight matches after allegedly racially abusing Suarez in a match between Liverpool and Manchester United back in 2011.

There’s definitely a chance this is Evra’s witty attempt at sarcasm, but who knows?! Maybe they’ve really kissed and made up.

What do you think?
