Ronda Rousey to Fight Champ Amanda Nunes in Return

Former UFC Bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey will be making her MMA return at UFC 207 on December 30.

Perhaps even more newsworthy is that Rousey stands as current champ Amanda Nunes’ first hurdle to jump after winning the title in the main event of UFC 200.

Rousey has not fought since her stunning loss of her title to Holly Holm at UFC 193 in November 2015. In that time, Holm was defeated by Nunes, as mentioned above, and Cris Cyborg has made numerous call-outs and jabs towards Rousey, who has been attempted to secure a fight with Rousey for 140 pounds, with Rousey refusing to fight Cyborg unless she is rigorously tested for steroids during the training period.

Dana White confirmed the return during his appearance on “The Herd with Colin Cowherd” on FOX Sports Radio. He also confirmed soon after that if Ronda wins the title, Cris Cyborg is definitely going to get her shot at Ronda and the title.
