Scotland Fans Fear The Worst After Leigh Griffiths’ Pal Tweets Strachan Abuse

Scotland Fans Fear The Worst After Leigh Griffiths’ Pal Tweets Strachan Abuse

Leigh Griffiths might have to settle for a place on the bench again as Scotland take on Slovakia tonight.

Gordon Strachan dropped the Celtic striker for Saturday’s 1-1 draw at home to Lithuania, much to the dismay of the Tartan Army.

Griff – who netted 40 goals for the Hoops last season – was only introduced with 10 minutes to go as Scotland chased a late equaliser.

The striker selection saw Strachan come in for criticism after picking Fulham forward Martin.

And today, a major hint has been dropped which could suggest Strachan will leave out Griffiths from the start in Tuesday’s World Cup qualifiers.

A friend of the former Hibs man – who is regularly pictured with the Celts star and posts about him on social media – has tweeted some pretty damning abuse in the direction of Strachan this afternoon.

Luke Clark wrote on Twitter: “Fucking disgrace hope they get beat and Strachan jacks it!!”

Other Twitter users were quick to spot the tweet, making the link to Griffiths potentially being dropped for the match n Trnava.
