Video: Arsenal Loanee Takuma Asano Scores First Goal For Stuttgart

Arsenal loanee Takuma Asano got his season up and running at the weekend for German club Stuttgart, as the Japanese international attempts to prove his worth to Arsene Wenger.

The promising 21-year-old was signed from Sanfrecce Hiroshima in the summer but was denied a work permit to play in England, hence why he’ll be in Germany until May, playing in the Bundesliga second tier.

It took Asano seven games before he opened his account for Stuttgart, who were surprisingly relegated from the Bundesliga last summer, but his neat finish into the bottom corner helped the club to victory over Karlsruher on Sunday:

Not too bad, eh?

Asano showing the poaching tendencies of a young Yaya Sanogo! But will have a long-term future at the Emirates? Or will he spend the next few seasons bouncing about from club to club on loan?
