They might be opponents in the Champions League this evening, but Barcelona and Manchester City‘s dislike for UEFA and the Champions League anthem has united the clubs’ supporters tonight.
The two footballing superpowers are squaring off in the Nou Camp this evening, in what is unquestionably the headline fixture of the tournament’s match-day three.
But whilst Pep Guardiola took his unfamiliar seat in the away dugout, he was greeted by an unfamiliar sound as the near 100,000 capacity crowd drowned out the famous Champions League ditty:
Barca and City don't just have Pep in common….they also both hate UEFA #FCBCity pic.twitter.com/zTcvk86mDZ

Barca’s fury seems to stem from a series of fines the club has incurred because supporters display the Catalan flag during matches, as they have done again tonight.
City’s indignation is a little bit unclearer, but is thought to relate to a massive £49 million fine the club were slapped with for breaching Financial Fair Play Rules back in 2013.
Either way, it’s nice to see two sets of opposing fans agreeing on something, eh?
