Video: Frank Lampard Takes a Dig at Tottenham All the Way From New York

Frank Lampard may have departed Chelsea a good few years ago now, but he’s still enjoys having a dig at the Blues’ rivals – particularly Tottenham.

The veteran midfielder is still plying his trade in MLS for New York City FC, and enjoyed a season at Manchester City after leaving Stamford Bridge, but he’ll always be a Chelsea man at heart, it seems, judging by his latest Q&A session for New York’s Twitter account.

Asked by a fan which away ground in England he enjoyed playing in most, Lampard didn’t even need time to think of an answer, and quickly replied White Hart Lane.

The reason? Well, if you haven’t already worked it out, we’ll let Frank explain it himself:

Regardless of the time that passes, it looks like Frank still relishes the opportunity to put the boot into old rivals.

Hopefully he comes back to England in some capacity one point – we’re betting his welcome at The Lane wouldn’t be too warm!

We react to Scotland’s dismal World Cup qualifiers against Lithuania and Slovakia before considering Gordon Strachan’s future as national team manager:
