He might be pushing 40, but Gigi Buffon still looks every inch one of the best goalkeepers in the world.
The Italian World Cup winner was between the stick for Juventus in the Champions League tonight for the tricky trip to French side Lyon, and he came up with an absolutely outrageous save.
With the group stage tie evenly poised at 0-0 in the second-half, Alexandre Lacazette swivelled cleverly inside the Juve penalty area, and fire the ball towards Buffon’s goal, only for it to take a cruel deflection off Leonardo Bonucci.
But fans of the Serie A club needn’t have worried – after all, they had the goalkeeping equivalent of Superman wearing the No.1 jersey:

To really hammer home his class, Buffon has earlier saved a penalty in the first-half from Lacazette, before Juventus winger Juan Cuadrado smashed his side ahead with just 10 minutes remaining.
Brilliant stuff from Gigi – lets just hope he never retires!
