Video: Liverpool Boss Jurgen Klopp Indulges in His Secret Hobby…Bowls

Typically, you usually find that footballers and coaches in the UK are often drawn into hobbies like horse racing, or maybe playing video games after training, but you probably won’t be surprised to know that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has a hobby you really wouldn’t expect – garden bowls.

Well, at least, it’s on the way to be becoming a hobby.

The Reds manager made an unlikely switch this week, as his star-studded squad travelled the world representing their various different countries, much to the surprise of members at the Trinity Bowling Club.

Perhaps unsurprisingly for an ex-professional footballer, Klopp is rather adept at picking up the game and, surprise surprise, he actually ends up getting rather competitive, despite playing bowls for the very first time.

The clip above is just another reminder to us that, regardless of the club you support, it’s so difficult not to love Jurgen Klopp.

Perhaps this should be a series! What fringe sport should the German try out next?
