Brazil thrashed Bolivia 5-0 in a World Cup qualifier on Thursday night and Liverpool duo Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho were at the heart of the comfortable victory.

Both continued their promising early-season performances by finding the net as the Selecao thumped their neighbours and took one big step towards the 2018 tournament in Russia.

Coutinho netted the second of four first-half Brazil goals by slotting home on 25 minutes with Neymar having earlier opened the scoring.

The win ensures manager Tete keeps his unbeaten start as Brazil manager, having won all of his opening tree matches, and keeps the Brazilians second in the 10-team South American qualifying table.

Incredibly, the result also means that Boliva are still without a World Cup qualifying victory since 1993 – and we think Scotland are bad!

Brazil are next in  action on Wednesday, when they face the slightly trickier task of travelling to Venezuela.
