Is this the end for Patrice Evra?
If his latest Instagram post is anything to go by, it certainly looks that way.
The Manchester United legend has taken to social media to announce that he has fallen out of love with football.
The 35-year-old Frenchman uploaded a video explaining that he’d become disillusioned with the celebrity side of the game – after a fan asked him for a picture while he prayed in church.
In the video, the Juventus full-back tells how he felt a tap on his shoulder – which he first thought was Jesus Christ – as he was praying.
But to his amazement he turned to find a fan seeking a photo with the ex-Old Trafford defender.
And it really looks like it’s the final straw for Evra.
You can check out his full rant in the Instagram video below:
If this does mean the end of Evra’s playing days, at least he has one heck of a trophy cabinet to look back on.
The France international star won five Premier League titles and a European cup during his time at United.
And success has followed him to Italy, with two Serie A winners’ medals to his name so far.
