Video: Ragnar Klavan Played Like a Boss For Estonia v Greece

Ragnar Klavan didn’t deserve to be on the receiving end of a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Greece last night.

The Liverpool defender captained Estonia in their home World Cup qualifier against the Greeks and would have been hoping to get a win to help take them higher in their group.

That was going to be a tough challenge considering Greece started their campaign with two victories and look to have turned a corner after failing to qualify for Euro 2016.

But Klavan was certainly up to the challenge of playing against tough opposition – as he showed with a strong performance at the heart of the Estonia defence.

A kind reddit.com user – u/Ennji – posted a video of Klavan’s highlights against Greece and Liverpool fans will be delighted to see how impressive he was:

Klavan signed for Liverpool from Augsburg in a £4.2million summer move, but has made just four appearances while playing back-up to Dejan Lovren and Joel Matip at the centre of Jurgen Klopp’s defence.

If he can continue putting in performances like this, though, then it won’t be long until he breaks into the Anfield team.
