Steven Gerrard has sparked talk that he’s going to leave LA Galaxy after his latest Instagram post.
But a quick look at the activity suggests the former Liverpool captain hasn’t got cryptic about his future on social media.
At 36, the end of Gerrard’s illustrious career is near and he only signed an 18-month contract at Galaxy in January last year.
He’s already said that he may retire this year after finding the travel involved with being an MLS player too difficult. And today’s post does come just a day before Galaxy’s final game of the regular season.
So we can see why some have taken his Instagram post as a suggestion that he’s on his way out of Los Angeles:

Should we take all of those similar posts in the same way some have taken Gerrard’s? Probably not.
It may turn out that the English legend does leave LA this off-season, but we reckon he’ll come out and clearly say what he’s going to do rather than getting cryptic with a post like this.
So calm down, Liverpool fans, and anyone else harbouring hope that Gerrard might turn up at your club over the next few months.
