A Lot of Celtic Fans Are Unhappy With Callum McGregor Starting v Barcelona

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has sprung a surprise by naming Callum McGregor in his starting line-up for tonight’s Champions League test against the mighty Barcelona – and just about nobody is happy about it.

The Hoops take on Messi and co under the floodlights at Parkhead knowing that, realistically, they must win either tonight or away to Manchester City on December 6 to remain in European football after Christmas.

And, by the looks of things, McGregor has been given the nod to play on the right-hand side of midfield, ahead of Patrick Roberts and James Forrest:

It’s McGregor’s first start in the Champions League group stages but he did come off the bench in the last match away to Borussia Mönchengladbach and squandered a brilliant chance with the score tied at 1-1.

You never know, picking him might be a masterstroke, but a lot of supporters really aren’t keen:

What do you make of the selection?
