Conor McGregor has rewarded loyal Irish MMA presenter Andrew McGahon with a job working for his website.
If you’re familiar with the Irish fighter’s journey to the top of the UFC fight game, you’ll be well aware of the several interviews he’s given to severemma.com over the years.
And if you didn’t know, McGahon was the young guy interviewing him – and the subject of some funny McGregor banter about his appearance for doing one chat on camera.
This interview was published way back in June 2013 when McGregor – then a Cage Warriors champion – was heading for his first ever UFC fight:

As McGregor’s stock began to rise in UFC, so too did McGahon’s reputation for producing entertaining MMA coverage as part of the Severe MMA team.
And now they’re working together.
McGahon appeared on his final Severe MMA podcast at the start of this month as he told listeners of his struggles with juggling work and MMA life.
He then went on to say that McGregor coincidentally reached out to him ahead of his UFC 205 fight with Eddie Alvarez this weekend and actually ended up offering him a job working on his new themaclife.com venture.
So now McGahon is in New York ahead of the big fight at Madison Square Garden as he begins his work with McGregor.
It really is amazing to see the popular fighter rewarding someone who showed such an interest in him when he was only known to Irish MMA fans.
One of McGahon’s first jobs was to interview Ariel Helwani – the man he was actually compared to by McGregor himself in the interview above.
