Diego Simeone Celebrates His Son’s Goals vs Juventus With Brilliant Throwback

Diego Simeone‘s son Giovanni scored two goals as Genoa dismantled Serie A champions Juventus at the weekend, and the Atletico Madrid boss was keen to celebrate on Instagram.

Giovanni scored twice in 13 unbelievable minutes, helping seal an unlikely 3-1 win over the Old Lady.

Meanwhile, his father’s team managed to rebound from a loss to Real Madrid to batter Osasuna 3-0 away from home.

Not a big weekend if you’re a Simeone then…

And Diego duly celebrated by posting an epic throwback on Instagram.

One picture was of himself during his playing days, as he scored against Juve for his former club Lazio.

The second was a picture of a jubilant Giovanni from the weekend, with the caption “EMOCIONANTE”:

Genoa’s win means they jump up to 9th place in the table, nine points adrift of the Europa League places.

Meanwhile Atletico are in 4th spot in the La Liga standings, behind surprise package Sevilla and the big two of Barcelona and Real Madrid.
